It’s Chrissssssstmas!
Many of you visited Dudley again and enjoyed a brilliant evening of food, fun and festivities at the Toby Carvery. Some say that John got his wallet out and got a round in, others say that all they saw from this interaction were moths fluttering to escape!
Unfortunately I was unable to make it but John made the trip up and back in the same evening – pure dedication to the cause – and Tim stayed in a luxury hotel room (Room Number 306 I hasten to add!) but chose not to use the gym facilities to work off the hefty meal you all enjoyed (anyone else see that coming?).
2009 has been a good year for Club-306, to name a few things; January saw the COTY competition meet knew heights with a whole host of prizes! We migrated to the new forum software (sooner than expected), the website has secretly been ported to the new software also and is a lot easier to maintain and develop. John has been working away on projects behind the scenes that should come to fruition in 2010. As a forum we have visited Castle Combe (twice), FCS (highlight was the camping and not the show!) and a number of smaller events, this saw us feature in Performance French Cars magazine on a number of occasions! In November we put together a calendar for the first time that very quickly sold out! I expect the same to be put together next year! It’s been a great year to be involved with Club-306.
How do we top 2009? Well first things first, the events team have been prepped; there’s an email account setup (Events@Club-306.com) for everyone to get in contact with our team and help to organise events for 2010. We want to increase our presence at Events and get involved in different areas of the country rather than just the usual few, if there’s something happening in your area please get in contact with the events team for Club-306 to be involved. We’ve already discussed adding an event in Devon to repertoire and also one in Milton Keynes that is for charity! Expect to see details of these soon.
We’re working behind the scenes to re-work the forums and make them friendlier and easier to use.
There are other ideas too but I’m going to have to keep them under wraps, sorry! If you have a brainwave and think you have an idea to make Club-306 better in 2010, use the feedback option on the forum or email me with your ideas – Lee@Club-306.com.
Most importantly
Be safe, be careful on the roads and most of all enjoy the time you have off work with your families.
From all at Club-306 HQ, we wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
