About Club-306

Club-306 is a Peugeot 306 owners club founded and managed by John Blackmore, and moderated by a dedicated group of members. Launched in June 2006, Club-306 boasts a member base of over 3500 registered forum users. Although less than two year old at time of writing Club-306 is already ranked highly in the major search engines on Peugeot 306 related key phrases, due mainly to a wealth of good quality content. This content has attracted numbers of inward links from Internet users who want to help others find the information they need via the Club-306 website. Peugeot 306 information and a growing number of Peugeot DIY guides allow the club to give back the information gathered over years of members experience to new Peugeot fans of the mid 90's medium sized hatchback.

History of Club-306

Establishing a New Peugeot Club

Prior to the launch of Club-306 in June 2006, site owner John Blackmore was running his own personal Peugeot 306 website called Johns306. Over a couple of years Johns306 gathered a number of followers and the introduction of a discussion forum allowed these users to communicate and share information with each other. This was particularly important as John has had no training in mechanics or car maintainance and has learnt all he knows about the Peugeot 306 from experience and shared knowledge. The success of the forum was clear to see so in early 2006 plans were put in place to launch a new website dedicated to Peugeot 306 information.

Growing in Numbers Throughout The Year

After its launch Club-306 member number quickly snowballed and by Christmas 2006 the number of registered users to the forum was 1000. The site continued to expand in 2007 branching out to include Peugeot 306 information outside the forum area. In the summer of 2007 Club-306 made its first official national presence when we booked a stand at French Car Show 2007. We displayed nearly 20 cars with members travelling the length and breadth of the country. A repeat success was acheived at Trax 2007 where we once again showed a large number of cars. By Christmas 2007 the membership base had swelled to over 3000 registered forum users and despite having introduced a membership fee to sign up we continue to meet and greet new members every day. In addition to a growing member base 2006 was the year that Club-306 struck deals with a number of member discount partners, including custom exhaust manufacturer Longlife and club insurance specialist Chris Knott.

A Promising Future

2008 plans to be a promising year for Club-306. We are currently undergoing a complete site audit to establish areas where we can improve the quality and quantity of Peugeot related information. Once complete the Club-306 website will include a more intuitive site structure, more reviews and DIY guides and a few new features to be announced. In addition we are always on the look out for more discount partners and affiliates. If you think you can provide a service to benefit our members, and in return gain national exposure please do get in touch.
